Healthwatch Wolverhampton Advisory Board Member

Healthwatch Wolverhampton is the independent champion for local people’s voices in health and social care in Wolverhampton, and it is delivered by Engaging Communities Solutions CIC (ECS). Healthwatch Wolverhampton, was established in April 2013 with the primary aim of improving the services offered to local people in the areas of NHS health care, adult and children’s social care by collecting their stories of the experiences of receiving care and support then taking these to the decision makers to seek to influence the improvement of services locally.

We are looking to recruit several Advisory Board Members who share our passion for developing Healthwatch Wolverhampton as the ‘independent champion’ for NHS, public health and adult and children’s social care services across the City. You will need drive, energy and enthusiasm and the ability to play a leading role in maintaining our vision.

You will need to have experience of organisational development, a knowledge of health and social care landscape, effective cross-sector partnership working with voluntary and community organisations and the ability to involve local people.

So, if you want to play a leading part in shaping the future of a vital organisation which in turn seeks to influence and improve health care and social care services across Wolverhampton, then we would be delighted to hear from you.

Rose Urkovskis, Healthwatch Wolverhampton Advisory Board Chair, said:

“This is a fantastic opportunity to join an enthusiastic Board who are passionate about representing the views of the local community and supporting the Wolverhampton Healthwatch Manager and team in their valuable role.”

If you wish to informally discuss the role, please contact Tracy Cresswell on 07732 683455.
