It was another significant milestone this week for the Wolverhampton City Fairtrade Partnership with the opening of the Fairtraid pop up shop in the Mander Centre shopping area. Julia Farrell, Chair of Wolverhampton City Fairtrade Partnership, said '' This is a great opportunity for us to spread the word about all things Fairtrade to the public on the high street and in doing so continue our work to support producers in developing countries.
The basic principle behind Fairtrade is that each time we buy Fairtrade this enables producers and their families to live a sustainable life and earn a fair wage for a fair days work.
Our wonderful volunteers give their time so generously and have worked so hard to get this shop up and running with items bought through the Fairtrade supplier Traidcraft so please pop by and say hello when passing we'd love to see you .
The shop is open from 10.00am to 5pm Mon to Sat up until Christmas Eve.
