Wolverhampton Grammar School is celebrating another year of exceptional GCSE results, with 77% of all exams awarded the top grades of 9 to 6 (equivalent to A* to B). There were stellar performances across the board from a range of subjects. Not only was the 77% average reflected across English, maths and the sciences, there were some outstanding results spanning the entire academic landscape. Noteworthy subjects include Art, Computer Science, and Drama (all over 93% 9 to 6). Ten students had an extra reason to celebrate after earning a remarkable 10 or more GCSEs at grade 9 or 8.
Nic Anderson, Head at WGS expressed his pride in the students’ achievements, stating: "We are delighted with this year’s results, which reflect the dedication and hard work of both our students and staff. At WGS, we offer a wide range of GCSE subjects, continuing into our Sixth Form with over 20 A-Levels and two Cambridge Technical qualifications. The breadth of success above demonstrates our commitment to an all-round education tailored to the individual needs of your child. I am pleased that the vast majority of GCSE students have chosen to stay with us for Sixth Form. I look forward to supporting them as they continue their educational journey and welcoming new students who will join us in September."
