Halloween and Half Term in Wolverhampton.

Places to go and Things to do for Halloween and Half Term in and around Wolverhampton.

Spoilt for choice? You bet. There are a host of places to go and things to do during late October (which also happens to be school half term holiday) so if you want to make your Halloween plans early – or are looking for activities to do in the school holidays, here’s a selection of activities in and around Wolverhampton – all of which are guaranteed to deliver.

The Friends of Northycote Farm are kicking off the Halloween activities with Lantern Making Workshops on 23rd October. Not only can you carve out your very own pumpkin – you can then bring it along to the Halloween Fun Night the following week. There’ll be a fancy dress competition (so put on your spookiest outfit – no – not that one Mum!) – a best dressed pumpkin competition and loads of other scary (but not too scary) stuff.

Tettenhall College are hosting a Halloween Club featuring the Mad Scientists from MAD SCIENCE for children aged 5-12 from 24th – 25th October. It’s a frightfully fun day that’ll have them spellbound.

Moseley Old Hall is the venue for Half Term activities – with Halloween themed Pumpkin Days for the whole family. Lots of activities and great fun for the kids during the school holidays – from 24th – 30th October.

The Bilston Craft Gallery is running a series of workshops between 25th and 27th October where your kids (and you as well?) can get messy and have a great time. It’s all aimed at 5-12 year olds. Their annual Halloween Gloop workshop follows on 28th October for children aged 2-4.

Bantock House Museum is concentrating on Spooky Masks for their Halloween activities on 27th October.

There’s a Family Halloween Party at Wolverhampton RUFC on 29th October – wear your spookiest fancy dress and celebrate Halloween in style.

For the Ladies – Compton Hospice are organising a charity “Ladies Only Trick or treat Midnight Walk” starting at 9pm.

Wightwick Manor hold a Halloween Craft session on 29th October – great fun for all the family.

Weston Park will be running their annual family Halloween event on Sunday 30th October - The Phantom Express will leave Weston Station for a train ride through the wild woods where guests will be dropped off to find their way back following the Pumpkin Lantern Trail - watch out for things that go bump in the night! After the spooky walk guests will enjoy a sausage sizzle, a warming cup of pumpkin soup in the Stables Courtyard where younger visitors can get hands-on making Halloween crafts and do the monster mash at the spooky disco. Children are encouraged to come in fancy dress, with prizes for the best and all the little monsters will leave with a spooky goody bag.

And finally (or at least we think!) – Northycote Farm wrap up Halloween 2011 with a fantastic family Halloween Fun night on 31st October.
