11th February 2020

Healthwatch Wolverhampton are looking for people aged 14-24 to join us at a “Have Your Say” event on Saturday 22 February 2020.

Health and social care services are important to everybody and it’s important that young people have an opportunity to help influence change in the services they use, this is one of the reasons we are holding a “Have Your Say” event and encouraging young people to join our Youth Healthwatch.

The event will help us to understand what health and social care services are important to young people for example; mental health, GPs, dentists and social workers etc. The outcome of the event will be that young people have identified a project or projects that they will work on for the next 6-12 months.

The event is taking place on:

Saturday 22 February

1:00-3:30pm

Newhampton Arts Centre

Dunkley Street

Wolverhampton

WV1 4AN

Spaces are limited and will be on a first come first served basis, so book your place today to avoid missing out. Refreshments including pizza will be available and there is a chance to win an amazon voucher for those who attend the event. If you are under the age of 16 you will need a parent or guardian’s permission to attend.

Tracy Cresswell, Healthwatch Manager says “Becoming a Youth Healthwatch Member is a rewarding and influential role that has a number of benefits including; learning new skills, helping your community and meeting new people.

Youth Healthwatch will be led by young people and supported by the staff team at Healthwatch Wolverhampton. This means you decide the time and date you meet, the projects or actions you want to take and how long you want to be involved for.”
