A sell-out theatre show that spawned one of the biggest TV hits of recent years will be broadcast live at Wolverhampton’s own independent cinema, Light House, on 12th September when National Theatre Live: Fleabag hits the big screen.
Written and performed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (also of Killing Eve fame) and directed by Vicky Jones, Fleabag is 'a rip-roaring look at some sort of woman living her sort of life', juggling her family and relationships, all whilst holding down her job at her guinea pig themed café.
Those hoping to catch a glimpse of Fleabag’s ‘Priest’ character may be disappointed that he doesn’t feature in this show, however actor Andrew Scott stars in National Theatre Live: Present Laughter which also showing at Light House, on 28th November.
Light House CEO Kelly Jeffs said of the broadcast announcement:
‘Fleabag was must-see TV, and we’re thrilled that we’ll be bringing the show that started it all to Wolverhampton. Our National Theatre screenings always sell quickly, so we’d recommend people book their tickets now to avoid disappointment!’
Tickets for both broadcasts can be bought by ringing Light House on 01902 716055 or on their website www.light-house.co.uk.
