Juniper Training is thrilled to announce the successful placement of over 150 apprentices in September 2024, across a wide range of sectors including Education and Training, Professional Services, Construction and Logistics, Manufacturing, and Recruitment. This achievement highlights Juniper’s dedication to equipping young people and those looking to upskill with the skills and opportunities needed to launch successful careers, while also addressing critical workforce needs in the West Midlands and beyond.
This year’s placements are a direct result of strong partnerships with over 800 local employers who are committed to investing in apprenticeships to future-proof their businesses. By offering apprenticeships, these employers are not only nurturing the next generation of talent but also creating sustainable pipelines of skilled workers essential for long-term growth.
Sam Broomhall, Director of Business Development from Juniper Training said: “We are incredibly proud to have placed over 150 apprentices this September. Apprenticeships play a pivotal role in developing a skilled workforce, and we are grateful to the amazing employers who continue to invest in apprenticeships, seeing them as a key component of their future success. We also want to wish all our new apprentices the very best as they embark on this exciting journey in their new roles.”
Apprenticeships have proven to be a win-win for both learners and businesses. National statistics demonstrate the significant benefits:
• 90% of apprentices remain in employment after completing their programme, with 71% staying with the same employer.
• Businesses report improved productivity, with 86% of employers stating that apprenticeships help develop skills relevant to their organization.
• Every £1 invested in apprenticeships returns an estimated £28 to the economy, underscoring their value as a cost-effective strategy for workforce development.
One of Juniper’s employer partners shared their positive experience: “Apprenticeships have been a game-changer for us. Not only do they bring fresh energy and enthusiasm to the team, but they also give us the opportunity to mould future talent according to our business needs. We’re proud to partner with Juniper to support young people as they take their first steps into a rewarding career.”
Juniper’s apprenticeship programmes cater to a wide range of industries, with tailored pathways that address specific skills shortages, particularly in high-demand sectors. By providing a blended approach to learning, apprenticeships ensure young people and those upskilling are well-prepared for their chosen careers while also meeting the evolving needs of businesses.
Juniper Training remains committed to continuing its work with employer partners and expanding its apprenticeship offering to help even more businesses and young people succeed in the coming year. With a shared vision of empowering the workforce of tomorrow, we look forward to placing many more apprentices in the months ahead.
