Well would you look at this? We've got nearly a whole month's worth of titles for you to choose from in one handy email! April is looking like a great month for films and we've got something for everyone. The Phantom of the Open is bound to be popular and our audiences have already been having a good giggle at the trailer that was showing before our March films. Mark Rylance pops up again later in April but in a very different role in The Outfit.

We've got some great international cinema in the form of Norwegian black comedy The Worst Person in the World, as well as the Oscar-winning Japanese film Drive My Car. Speaking of the Oscars, we've got Andrew Garfield's Oscar nominated performance as writer of hit musical Rent, Jonathan Larson, in Tick, Tick...Boom! And if you're looking for some family entertainment during the Easter holidays we've got Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.

Showing from the 15th April there's a spectacular all-star cast including Colin Firth, Kelly McDonald and Matthew MacFadyen in Operation Mincemeat, about a daring plot which took place in the Second World War to fool German troops, that involves a corpse carrying fake documents. Sounds intriguing to us!

Here's some news that's hot off the press - we can confirm that Downton Abbey: A New Era will be opening at Light House on the 29th April. After a long absence from our TV screens and many Covid related delays, we're very excited to see what the Crawley crew and their staff have been up to.

Meanwhile, our comedy night Superspread The Laffs has had to be pushed back until the 18th June due to unforeseen circumstances, so you've still got plenty of time to book tickets. If you've already bought some, we'll be in touch about transferring them over to the new date.
