Designer and Milliner, Michelle J Richards, has produced a series of handmade face coverings inspired by Wolverhampton Art Gallery’s collection.

Michelle, has over 25 years’ experience and owns and manages Mijori Creative, has used her love of all things creative to produce quality merchandise worn and admired by many who share a love of good quality.

The face coverings, available from the Lichfield Street gallery, come in a variety of designs and sizes available for all ages.

The face coverings are reversible, double layered, waterproof/showerproof, tweed with Teflon coating and washable. Prices start from £8.95.

City of Wolverhampton Council Cabinet Member for City Economy, Councillor Stephen Simkins, said: “This is the sort of innovation and entrepreneurial skills we need within the city - well done Michelle

“We have over 300 years of art at Wolverhampton Art Gallery so there has been a lot of inspiration to draw on – and the designs are great.”

Michelle added: “To collaborate with Wolverhampton Arts and Culture at such an uncertain time is something extremely close to my heart. Art in any form can be an elevated expression of someone’s mood and a formidable way of expressing love and peace.”

Wolverhampton Art Gallery is open Monday to Saturday (10.30am to 4.30pm) and Sunday (11am to 4pm).
