A local poet, Marianne Burgess, is to perform at Shrewsbury Food Festival on Saturday 4th September.
Marianne Burgess compiled her first book of poetry 'Amateur Grammatics' when she turned 50.
Her second book 'The Intolerant Cow' came two years later.
She has been nicknamed the 'Pam Ayres of the Black Country' as her main focus is comedy poetry.
There is a serious side to her work however which she is keen to share.
Marianne has a passion for wellness and is currently studying Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
