On the weekend of 6th to 8th September, Gatis Community Space, Newhampton Arts Centre (NAC) and Wildside Activity Centre are teaming up to celebrate everything Whitmore Reans with #LoveTheReans Festival.
#LoveTheReans Festival will celebrate the local area and create the event with the people who live, work and play here – so they need your help sharing your skills, passions and stories of the area!
You’re invited to help create this festival and share something you love, enjoy or have a special skill in. Could you share what Whitmore Reans means to you in a creative way?
Maybe you have a group that could perform, or a talent you could show-off? Do you have a skill you could share and teach others? Do you have a song to sing or a story to tell? Could you share a favourite recipe of yours to cook with others?
Whatever you care to share – we want to hear it!
The festival are looking for spoken word poetry and acoustic music for an event at Newhampton Arts Centre from 6pm on Saturday 7th Sept and there’s an opportunity to showcase your talent at the Reans Got Talent event on Sunday 8th September. There is also space for stalls across the weekend if you would like to share information about your organisation or service. The festival is also open to any other ideas you have.
