Mothers Day in Wolverhampton

So - who's got the best Mum in the world? I suspect most of us think it's us which perhaps explains why millions of us will soon be turning our thoughts to Mothering Sunday and the thought of treating our mums to something special.

So - lets start with the flowers. There are hundreds of Florists around Wolverhampton but go a little further afield to Shifnal and you'll find Blue Florist - recently voted one of the UK's most loved florists by local people. It really is worth the journey to see the unique and amazing floral bouquets that Jan and the team at Blue create - and whilst you are there, you'll be able to pick up a card from the wide selection, sneak a peek at the new gallery and, best of all, you can take a break in the Blue China Cafe whilst you are there. Have a look here - www.blue-shifnal.co.uk.

For the Hair and Beauty bit - you might be tempted to have a look at Classic Hair and Beauty on the Wolverhampton Road in Codsall - see their website here - www.classichairandbeauty.com where Mum can be pampered to her hearts content in this modern, stylish salon.

How about a day at the Races? Wolverhampton Racecourse offers fantastic dining and entertainment facilities as well as (naturally) some of the best horse racing in the UK. Visit Wolverhampton Racecourse here - www.wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk.

Or there's the Grand Theatre where you are bound to find a show or a play that mum will love - check their website for what's on here - www.grandtheatre.info

And of course to the food. A meal out always does the trick and in Wolverhampton, we are spoilt for choice - so we've picked just a couple of options for you to consider -

The Lodge at Blakelands - sumptious food in a country house setting on the outskirts of Wolverhampton - visit their website here www.blakelands.co.uk.

Table Table Restaurants are popular family friendly restaurants that guarantee a good time in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. There are two in Wolverhampton:

The Bluebrick and The Moseley Park - both well recommended - get details here -
