Newhampton Arts Centre is delighted to be expanding their Summer of Music programme for Wolverhampton with the centre’s outdoor and under canvas New Horizons stage now in full swing and already gaining wonderful responses from audiences.
After an amazing reaction to their recent Folk and Jazz festivals NAC have announced a further music programme featuring some very special home-town gigs for much-beloved Wolverhampton artists Alex Ohm and Dan Whitehouse playing the new stage later this month plus newly announced and local boy Tom Aspaul in September.
Alex Ohm has become a renowned name on the local music scene and is beginning to make a name for himself far and wide with a number of sold out shows already. This Midlands-based songsmith is back at NAC with special support from the Jack Cattel Band after his memorable BBC Introducing performance last year.
Now following the release of his highly praised EP ‘The Lost Persons Meeting Point’ earlier this year, Alex returns with a rousing, summer anthem titled JOY with very special support from Jack Cattel to delight audiences at our summer New Horizons Stage next week - Saturday 14 August at 7pm tickets: £10.
You can also join NAC for a relaxing evening of captivating music from Wolverhampton’s very own Dan Whitehouse with support from Long For The Coast. .
Dan has recently completed work on a new double album “Dreamland Tomorrow”. This is a new departure for Dan and features some very special guests with producer Boo Hewerdine, Jon Kelly (Kate Bush, Prefab Sprout). Dan Whitehouse will be playing songs from his new album on Friday 20 August at 7pm Tickets: £10.
Wolverhampton’s very own Tom Aspaul will also be playing NAC's New Horizons stage for a special home town gig on Thursday 16th September 7.30pm - Tickets: £12
