In the world of The Croviss Girls, England is ruled by the paranoid and obsessive Greyshirts. Barbed wire and minefields are being laid at the borders as Hadrian’s Wall and Offa’s Dyke are brought back up to serious, state-of-the-art spec.
Leader of the movement is Charlotte Ronsard – stern, unforgiving and determined to keep all knowledge of her own sexuality out of the knowledge of the public. This is no time for mysticism or fantasy.
The Croviss Girls is the third in a sequence of novels that began with Both and Kingswinford Sunset but it stands as a story in its own right. Familiar characters such as Dave Calper, Charlotte Ronsard and Ith are seen again but in a different light, in a part of England that echoes with magic and
legend.
As in the two previous novels, the reader can experience the events as the delusions of unreliable narrators, or decide exactly how much might be something more than dream.
