We at Newhampton Arts Centre are very excited to welcome the return of Paint the Day this month and the highly anticipated art challenge will take place on Saturday 16th July.
Wolverhampton’s long running outdoor art & photography challenge is now aiming to encourage artists and families to get creative in lockdown. This is the 8th year of the event where participants record a scene within 3 miles of NAC.
An public exhibition of all entries will on display the following day at NAC when prizes will be awarded. Prize money for 2022 adds up to over £800 including an overall First Prize, Photography, U-18 and Public Vote.
We hope you enjoy reading about Paint the Day and that you can share our press release with your colleagues and friends to help us spread the word. We have also attached images from the 2021 competition of artists taking part. Registration for places is via https://www.newhamptonarts.co.uk/events/paint-the-day-2022/ and this year includes a free child place with every adult place booked, making it into a wonderful family event.
