On-Line PoArtry is bringing Poets and Artists together in Lock-Down

We spoke to Gerald Kells, poet and environmentalist from Walsall, and asked why he like writes about art.
There are all kinds of reasons, perhaps to see pictures more clearly but also, they open up ideas in my head. An image can open up avenues I hadn’t thought about and also get me to pick up subjects I wouldn’t otherwise have been directed to.

Rick Sanders said "I started an on-line version of PoArtry to raise money for poets struggling financially during lockdown. Many poets have lost all income from performance opportunities due to Covid and I felt compelled to do something to help. The concept remains the same - poems being written in response to artwork, and the standard is still remarkably high.
