The UK and international property markets are being presented with a £20 billion opportunity to invest in a diverse range of housing, commercial, regeneration and infrastructure projects across the West Midlands.

The West Midlands Investment Prospectus 2023, showcases 29 transformational schemes offering investors and property developers the chance to breathe new life into local communities and transform former industrial sites for new homes and modern commercial premises.

This year’s prospectus has a strong focus on revitalising town and city centres following the challenges of lockdown and the rise of online shopping. The schemes look to diversify what centres can offer by introducing more leisure, office and residential development, including affordable housing to help local people secure good quality, energy efficient homes for rent or purchase.

The media are invited by the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) to attend the regional launch of the prospectus to learn more about these exciting schemes and the region’s plans to make housing more affordable for local people and ways to secure the long-term futures of our high streets.

There will be interview and filming opportunities with Andy Street, Mayor of the West Midlands and representatives from Legal & General and housing developer Lovell, who are both strategic partners of the WMCA and set to invest billions of pounds between them into the region over the next few years.

There will be opportunities to interview some of the young Lovell apprentices and we are looking to line up some first time buyers who have been supported into their new homes at The Junction. There will also be filming opportunities of the construction work underway on site.
