The newly appointed Poet in Residence at WCR FM has written a special poem for Remembrance Day which will be broadcast by Wolverhampton`s radio station on 101.8 FM, online, Spotify and Listen Again. The poem is also available to view on the radio station`s Facebook, Instagram and website (www.wcrfm.com).
Ian Henery, who was appointed on National Poetry Day, has written a poem called "Red Paper Poppies of Remembrance" (available to view online https://www.wcrfm.com/blogs/ianhenery/post/red-paper-poppies-ofremembrance/) in memory of those who leave never to return and for those who return but are never the same.
"We remember," said Ian Henery. "A poppy in tribute to all the brave veterans who risked their lives in the past and the present so we might have a future".
