April 27th. Our next String Band Boogie event and what a line-up we have for the third one.

Rusti Steel & the Star Tones

The Star Tones were formed in 2007, following debut album "Embassy Sessions" on Foot Tapping Records. However, Rusti & Stewart go way, way back (longer than they'd like to admit) to the "Pre Tin Tax" age, playing in a band called "The Jumpin' Jax" during the early 80s. Success in the form of Fame without the Fortune came along for them when they formed Rusti Steel & the Tin Tax in 1986. After many albums, radio & TV work and extensive touring of Europe, Scandinavia & UK the Tin Tax finally split amicably around 1999/2000. After this, Rusti formed "Check Crosby & his Red Hot Wranglers", a 6-piece Western Swing outfit and then Rusti Steel & the Star Tones were born. Things took off well for the Star Tones too, recording for Western Star Records and playing all over the UK and Europe and always putting on a great show. We are pleased to have them at the NAC

Hadacol Hotshots

The Hadacol Hotshots are a 5 piece band performing in an authentic 1940/50s roots American Western swing, Hillbilly bop, rockabilly, Honkytonk, style. Fronted by Dave Brown and made up with some of the best in the country. These guys always go down a storm

Musical interludes provided, as usual by Cuzzin Col from Rockabilly Radio and Country Road Radio and played on original vinyl.

No advance tickets, just turn up on the day and enjoy an evening of great American Roots Music in good company, at this great venue with cheap bar and superb sound system.
