Silver Gilt Award for City Blooms
Wolverhampton won Silver Gilt award in the Heart of England in Bloom competition and also won the large city category for the first time. Hundreds of residents, school pupils and businesses backed the Floral City bid and the city centre played a big part in wowing the judges. Highlight of the tour was the recently refurbished Molineux hotel with its historical garden - a combination of early Georgian and Victorian style - and the city’s West Park.
