Wolverhampton  based publishers Tenebrous Texts are launching  their latest book by Bilston author and poet Steven C Davis.     Launching on Wednesday 13th November is ‘Hurnungaz the Dark Breath of Earth’, the follow up to ‘Hurnungaz’, and the second in the trilogy. Written by Bilston author and poet  Steven C. Davis, they are a dark Pagan retelling of the Robin Hood myth cycle, with Norse flavourings and parallels to the modern day.   The siblings Angelijs and Diederic find themselves in Sherewode, far from their home. Sir Richard of Verysdale – known by some as Sir Richard of the Lea – returns from the Holy Land. A cohort of the Sælvatici – Welsh archers – leave their Marcher territories to join the Hooded, bearing news of the wielder of the Hero-light, Paol of the Caithlá. The Cathedral to the Christ of the East has been destroyed but the Hooded are scattered and Caerne is injured. William of Gisborough is returning to the heartland of the forest, commanding one hundred of the King’s Own elite warriors.   Loosely wrapping the tale of the Green Children of Woolpit around known ideas of Robin Hood, this is a tale of transformation and defiance, of hope and belief.    Launch details: 6.30 – 9.00, Wednesday 13th November Dudley Library, Dudley DY1 1HR
