The Big Family Night In 2020 has been quite a year for all of us but some people the affect of Covid has been a reduction in income due to being furloughed or a total loss of income due to a job loss. Esther Douglas and Donna Palmer from the Wolverhampton Central Seventh Day Adventist Church based in the city centre have created an idea where we can all support families this Christmas. Working in partnership with the Advent Food Bank (who already work with the city council ) they are calling on the community to support ‘ The Big Family Night In’. The aim is to put a board game in every food parcel distributed to bring families together to have some fun and laughter this Christmas. Having run a soup kitchen for 5 years, Esther and Donna know how important it is to reach out and help others. Doing things for others- whether small, unplanned acts or regular volunteering is a powerful way to boost our own happiness as well of those around us.
