Hey Humans, this year has been a positive storm for me, which has led me to meet some awesome people for which I’m very grateful. Amongst these people is Lisa Johnston, she’s been suited and booted, wielding a hammer to make this project happen, the driving force, so before I move on, thank you, Lisa.
The display for the project resides at the Staffordshire space station. I was planning to visit until this disrupting virus hit the planet… overload, overload, tangent disengaged.
This fantastic project really brings the poetry community together. A bunch of great people, with great minds, from all walks of life and different perspectives on the world. I love a project or movement that promotes coherent work and feelings, that become one, as we are.
The collection of work has been created with the efforts of some awesome poets, Daniel Kay, Anthony J Ball, Mel Wardle Woodend, Kizzy Wade, Gerald Kells, Leanne Cooper, Mark Perryman, Phil Buckley, Ian Henery and many more inspiring individuals. All the ingredients for epic-ness.
The online event for the Summer Poetree Project, will be held online on the 10th of July at 19:30. The event is hosted by the space station, it will contain all the poetry displayed and much more. Come along, take part and listen in, get those cognitive juices flowing!
If you have the desire for something different, start simple, read or listen to some poetry, it may open many other doors. It’s a wonderful community to be a part of, I’m honoured to have had my work accepted and looking forward to performing.
