Newhampton Arts Centre is delighted to announce a special performance of Duncan Macmillan’s wonderfully funny and brutally honest monologue Every Brilliant Thing in Wolverhampton on the 1st September.

Taking place under the canvas of our unique New Horizons performance space, Every Brilliant Thing is a one woman show about the lengths we go to for those we love directed by The Black Country's very own Naomi Coleman and performed by Midlands actor Livvi Parsons.

The narrator invites the audience to help retell how the list of ‘every brilliant thing about the world, everything worth living for’ came to be and members of the audience help to directly shape the performance.

With the family's permission we are also privileged to dedicate this production to the memory of Black Country actor Simon Hawkins - talented, generous, and greatly missed in Aid of PAPYRUS young person suicide prevention.

Due to the subject matter, we recommend this performance is suitable for those aged 14+

Naomi Coleman founded Pop Up Theatre 3 years ago and is experienced in bringing work to live audiences specifically in small scale theatres and fringe venues. In 2020 Pop Up Theatre was invited to inaugurate ‘The Santuary,’ Soulton Halls Earthen Amphitheatre, built in response to the pandemic. Their Credits also include; Orphans (claptrapthevenue) Oleanna (Artix Studio) After the End (claptrapthevenue) The Memory of Water (Artix) A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Soulton Hall).

Pop Up Theatre’s performance of Every Brilliant Thing at Claptrapthevenue in Stourbridge has already sold out and we expect this performance to be popular, book your tickets now to avoid disappointment!

Tickets cost £5 and can be purchased through the Newhampton Arts Centre website http://www.newhamptonarts.co.uk/every-brilliant-thing/ or by phone on 01902 572090.

What audiences say about past Pop Up Theatre productions:

Sarah Patricia Aldridge  recommends Pop Up Theatre

‘Congratulations on a fantastic piece of theatre. The Memory Of Water was an amusing and at times brutally honest look at grief and family relationships which moved many of the audience, myself included, to tears. Fantastic teamwork resulted in a seamless flow of action in this delightfully quirky venue, which showcased your actors and this amazing script to their absolute best. First class entertainment!’

Janey T-Mack  recommends Pop Up Theatre

‘Confident, funny and blithe. A charming Midsummer Night’s Dream at the magically rustic setting of Soulton Hall’

Chris Milne

‘We’ve been talking about it ever since. Gender politics, power politics and a complete mismatch of communication, despite it being two intelligent people, who had the linguistic ability to inform and question but also manipulate, belittle, overpower and ultimately destroy each other.’
