Henning Wehn, the self-styled German Comedy Ambassador will be officially
launching the new outdoor covered performance area at Newhampton Arts Centre.
Henning, a regular face on popular shows such as "Have I Got News For You",
"Would I Lie To You", "Live At The Apollo", "Question Time" and "8 Out Of Cats Does
Countdown", will be previewing new material in front of a small, intimate audience
on Thursday June 24 th & Friday June 25 th ahead of his full UK tour. The comedian’s
last appearance in Wolverhampton was in 2017 at the 2000-capacity Civic Hall.

The New Horizons stage is the Newhampton’s new performance area, situated in the
centre’s courtyard which was conceived in response to Covid-19. Other bookings
currently on sale include their first ever folk festival scheduled for Saturday 3 rd July,
featuring lively five piece Calan, esteemed songwriter Pete Morton, The Vera Van
Heeringen Trio and Wolverhampton-born musician Matt Sayers.
The Centre are currently adding events for their summer line-up.
