Update on Wolverhampton Fairtrade

Its been a busy 6 weeks for the Wolverhampton Fair Traid pop up shop in the Mander Centre as customers old and new alike flocked through the doors and continued to show their support for ethical shopping in our city.

Staffed entirely by volunteers, the Fair Traid shop promotes and sells Fairtrade and Fair Trade products in the Wolverhampton area and they are always more than happy to discuss the principles and message behind why its so important to put Fairtrade items in your shopping basket .

Many people, when considering buying Fairtrade, can be forgiven in thinking  its only about the things we consume; such as tea, coffee, bananas and chocolate but Fairtrade is much more than this -  as the items on display have shown.  From handbags to childrens toys, jewellery to kitchenware, socks to stationary, there is a vast variety of Fairtrade items to choose from.

Wolverhampton has been a proud Fairtrade certified city for 17 years and we thank all the committed volunteers at the Fair Traid shop for their continued support and hard work for all they do to promote Fairtrade in our great city.

The shop is open until Saturday 23rd April – so why not pop by – the volunteers would love to see you.  You can find out more on their Facebook page @Wolverhampton Fair Traid
