As a couple, we've always worked in hospitality, particularily in Italian or Mediterranean themed restaurants. Max has worked as a chef in many different countries along the Mediterranean coast and his Italian heritage has been a major factor in his development as a professional. We noticed that in Wolverhampton there weren’t many places where you could enjoy an authentic tapas experience so, in 2005, we decided to open up our own family business. We came up with the name, Cafe Maxsim, as a wordplay, a combination of both our names - Max and Simona. We really wanted our business to represent us, from every point of view. 

The knowledge acquired through working for others made our take off much easier, but more importantly, it  enabled us to develop on new ideas to improve our clientele's experience. We created a very diverse and affordable menu, which comprises over 43 dishes belonging to 8 beautiful countries. Not only does this vast assortment give our customers a wide range of choice, but it also encourages sharing. When it comes to Cafe Maxsim, we take variety very seriously so we’ve extended it beyond just food. We are avid coffee lovers and connoisseurs, therefore, our customers can enjoy their breakfast with an espresso, or with an authentic Turkish coffee. The coffee we provide is of the highest quality. That being said, there’s  something delicious for every taste. Moreover, the majority of the ingredients we use are organic and locally sourced because we think it's really important to support our own community. 

The venue has a cozy and intimate feel to it but is also very much appropriate for parties and get togethers. Everything is Mediterranean themed, from the overall decor to the music we play. We also have a lovely courtyard at the rear, which can be used all year round as it’s well heated. 

What defines us best, apart from delicious food,  is flexibility. We really listen to special requirements and go above and beyond to accomodate them. This is one of the main ways we've managed to retain the loyalty of so many customers. We look after them and we care. The recognition we’ve been getting for so many years from Tripadvisor, Choleriac Group and the local newspapers is longstanding proof that Cafe Maxsim is one of the few places that actually delivers the high level of service and quality food that exceeds customers’ expectations.
