Wolverhampton Fairtrade goes from strength to strength and is celebrating being awarded Fairtrade Campaigners of the Month for December from the Fairtrade Foundation for going above and beyond in supporting trade justice.    As Wolverhampton heads towards its 21st year of being a Fairtrade city/community in 2025, they recently had a Fairtrade stall for the first time ever at this year's Wolverhampton City Archives History Fair reaching out to 250 attendees about the work of campaigners over the last 20 year showcasing historical Fairtrade memorabilia and had articles on display .  A talk was given at the Wolves Society History group with a Q and A session and future talks are being given to Wolverhampton Rotaries and Wolverhampton Interfaith.    Julia Farrell ( Chair of Wolverhampton Fairtrade ) said:   "I am very proud of everyone's involvement in supporting Fairtrade in Wolverhampton over many years up to the present day and I'm especially proud of our young people in the city who are the next generation of advocates for Social Justice.  Layla Perry of Bilston SWB Academy is our Wolverhampton Young Campaigner of the year and at 12 years old is spreading the Fairtrade message far and wide through Tik Tok to a new audience! And a wonderful young girl called Mia Bedi spoke so passionately at a recent event hosted by Magical Mind Coaching Youth Club about poverty and social justice.    Well done everyone involved across the city who supports Fairtrade. This award is for you all"
