During the upcoming run of bank holidays, Suffolk Coastal’s recycling and refuse collections teams will be working normally, with no changes to the days they will be visiting homes across the district.
Residents whose bins are normally emptied on Friday or Monday will still have their collection on the same day, despite this week’s Good Friday, the royal wedding on April 29, or the two bank holiday Mondays on April 25 and May 2.
David Gallagher, Head of Customer Services and Commercial Partnerships advised that “If there are any street parties or other celebrations planned on Friday, April 29, in areas where our teams normally collect on a Friday, a call by the organisers to our SCS helpdesk on 01394 444000 can get them to call earlier or later on the day so as to avoid our freighters turning up in the middle of the festivities,”
