WORCESTERSHIRE County Council's Record Office will be presenting 'Worcestershire on Film', a screening of archive footage from the vaults of the Record Office and the Media Archive for Central England, this Saturday, August 21.
The Swan Theatre in Worcester will play host to the evening of old films, which starts at 7.30pm. Over two thousand people have attended previous screening sessions and, following requests from viewers last year, some of the films shown in 2008 will be repeated, including footage of the 1948 floods in Worcester and a film of Winston Churchill's visit to the city in 1950. There will also be newly discovered footage which has not been screened before.
Tickets are £5 for adults and £4 for concessions and can be booked at the Worcester Live box office on 01905 611427.
