A second year for the Adur & Worthing Food & Drink Festival 10 days of scrumptiousness! …
The dates for the 2013 Adur & Worthing Food and Drink Festival have been announced!
This year’s festival will run from Friday 5th to Sunday 14th July 2013.
The festival will follow a similar format to last year. It will kick off in Worthing over the weekend of 5th, 6th & 7th July. There will be an huge marquee on Worthing’s Steyne Gardens for the whole weekend which will be home to a veritable feast of food & drink delights along with entertainment and fun for the kids.
The following weekend of 13th & 14th will be focussed around Shoreham-by-Sea with the annual Chilli Festival and the award winning Shoreham Farmers’ Market taking place in the town centre.
Plus there’s a chance for businesses throughout the district to get involved and help to put Adur & Worthing on the food & drink map.
Pat Beresford, Adur Cabinet Member for Regeneration, said: “We know we’ve got some fantastic food & drink businesses right here on our doorstep. This is a marvellous way to celebrate all that is local. I am really pleased to see it on the annual events calendar and hope it will be there for years to come.”
Bryan Turner, Worthing Cabinet Member for Regeneration, adds: “The festival was a great success last year. There’s a great base on which to build so we want to see more and more businesses getting involved this year.”
Sharon Clarke, Worthing Town Centre Manager, adds: “The Worthing Town Centre Initiative are happy to be involved with this festival again. Despite the terrible weather we estimated around 5,000 people visited the festival last year. So it’s great for businesses and visitors alike.”
