Guided heritage tours of Wrexham, an enjoyable tour for visitors and locals alike

Wrexham Town Trails - Wrexham's newest tourist attraction and an essential part of any visit to the town.

Wrexham Town Trails is a gentle walking tour of Wrexham Town Centre with a friendly and knowledgable local guide who will take you through the history of Wrexham and the local area from prehistoric times to the modern day.

The tour runs on Tuesdays and Sundays for the 2010 season, starting at 12 noon from the Wrexham Tourist Information Office in Queen's Square.

The tour fits in more than 30 places of local historical interest and reveals the town's links with notable figures from the past. It offers the chance to discover some of Wrexham's hidden and forgotten gems - the Old Town Well; the Cockpit site; ancient underground tunnels leading to St Gile's Church; and the final resting place of Elihu Yale, the benefactor of Yale University.

It takes the form of a gentle walk through the town's streets and illustrates Wrexham's social, commercial and industrial heritage. The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes. Please tell the guide if you have any special needs and we will do our best to accommodate. We cater for all ages and abilities.
