If you know a child or children aged 11 to 16 years who stand out for their hard work, tenacity, compassion, sportsmanship or other, please nominate them for The High Achievers Award 2014 - you can nominate as many children as you wish for each award.
This year's categories include:
Community Volunteer of the Year
Do you know a young person who has made a difference in the community or someone who dedicates their spare time to volunteering or helping to care for an individual?
Sporting Prowess
Has someone you know excelled in sport or showed extraordinary effort?
Academic Achievement of the Year
Has one of your students performed beyond expectation or at the highest level in any number of subjects.
Creative Genius of The Year
Do you know a young person who has demonstrated and expressed a real positive talent through literature, music, visual arts, or expressive art?
Science and Innovation Award
Do you know a young person who has a real passion for the sciences. They may have engineered a mechanical or electrical solution to a problem. Created an innovative application or graphic based programme using ICT.
Young Brave heart of the Year
Maybe you know an individual who has made a stand against, bullying, racism etc. Demonstrated an outstanding act of bravery. Overcome severe personal barriers in everyday life.
One to Watch Award
Can you nominate an individual who has shown great potential or promise with the right stuff to make it big later in life.
Heart of Gold Award
What about a student who has shown extraordinary acts of kindness and have gone the extra mile to make a difference to an individual or group.
A judging panel will review every entry for each award and will select the top 3 people for each category with the winner announced at a special awards ceremony will be held at Glyndwr University William Aston Hall on 17th July 2014.
