Monday mornings can, on occasion, be quite stimulating, it just depends on the folk that you meet up with.
I had a few minutes to spare so I visited Sheppards Farm Shop and had a chat with John. The late frosts have put back the demand for bedding plants and hanging baskets which is not great for the growers, but these same frosts have killed off a great many plants, geraniums and fuschias are particular casualties and so these will need to be replaced. Needless to say these are two of Johns specialities! It's now Wednesday and the temperatures have risen and the Sheppards hanging baskets and bedding plants will be flying off of the shelves.
Mark Hughes and his good lady travelled to Coventry recently to be presented with The Best Van Hire Company in the Uk certificate, won by Jolly Good Van Hire. What a great achievement, recognition of the high regard that this local company holds. Mark, like many of our esteemed clients, uses The Best of Wrexhams pages when sourcing trustworthy companies to deal with. He was at pains to tell me how he had enjoyed his visit to Bellis Bros last weekend and that he will now be a regular customer there.
This was a great coincidence as my next call was to meet Lizzie Bellis who is taking over the marketing responsibilities for Bellis Bros from her father. My son Mark came in with me and we had a truly lovely meeting with Lizzie who quite dazzled us with her charm, beauty and wit. Roger had been hiding her away in London, but she has returned home and we think that she is a major acquisition. Bellis Bros is a great business and Lizzie will make sure that even more folks know about it. We will be publishing everything that is going on, on our Events Page. Mark and I came away richer in mind and body for our meeting, but poorer in pockets as we couldn't resist spending money. I should say that we had our meeting in Bellis Bros' new restaurant looking out over the Welsh hills, a great panoramic view, great coffee too!
