Beer and music this weekend in Wrexham. So what's special about that?
Well, the beer is none other than Wrexham Lager finally available again after a 10 year break. The Buck House Hotel in Bangor on Dee will have the honour of launching this iconic local brew on Saturday 29th October (tomorrow!).
The launch event will begin from 4pm with entertainment and fundraising fun.
Wrexham Lager was first brewed in 1881by German immigrants wanting to recreate their local lager. Production continued with ups and downs up until the year 2000 making Wrexham Lager a integral part of local history.
For those wanting more music than lager, you won't do better than the Oxjam music event at The Guildhall Bandstand in the centre of Wrexham. This starts at 12 noon on Saturday 19th October (tomorrow) and continues until 9pm with a whole load of local bands playing.
It's free entry and helps raise money for Oxfam international.
