Football fans in York could get the chance to watch all the action of the World Cup on the city's very own set of giant screens planned for the summer tournament.
Talks are currently being held to discuss the prospect of providing an outdoor base for supporters in York during the World Cup when the action kicks off in June.
Whilst locations have yet to be decided, the plans have drawn welcome encouragement from local businesses and individuals, who hope the screens will draw visitors from around the region to York over the summer, boosting tourism spending as a result.
England's group games begin against the USA on the evening of the 12th June.
