Last night on look north the controversial closure of lendal bridge was thrown into the spotlight. The consensus seemed to be that this was daylight robbery for many motorists and that it could be hampering trade for many local businesses whilst forcing traffic elsewhere. In my opinion from what the council representative had said, it seemed to be a money making device and in fact the council have done themselves some serious harm, particularly through the bending of the truth (the lack of signs and detail) around the bridge. This has meant that tourists are getting fined too.
