Of course at this time of year, we'll be getting a couple more bank holiday weekends soon. In just 10 days, we'll have an 'Early May Bank Holiday' Monday to look forward to, which this year is the 1st of 4 days of the 80th anniversary of VE Day Celebrations. HARBOROUGH MARKET will be hosting a '1940s WEEKEND' on Sat May 3rd and Sun May 4th. They'll have a 1940s DJ, singers, vintage trader stalls, as well as vintage vehicles. It will be a weekend to remember and a wonderful chance for 1940’s enthusiasts to go down and enjoy the fashion and memorabilia of the era. I'm sure there'll also be organised (and probably some disorganised!) street parties around the town and local villages, probably with some Vera Lynn 'tunes' to dance to! The Fox Inn is a delightful country pub in the village of Wilbarston, having recently been tastefully refurbished under its new experienced management since Dec.'24. Open 7 days/week, it presents home cooked food each day, with fresh new menus, a range of quality beers and drinks, and superior letting accommodation for either short or long stays. With regular entertainment, this really is a pub transformed for all to enjoy.
Had a wee christmas party tonight in the Fox . Great food and service. Just wanted to share that all the staff are fantastic, warm welcome and a lovely atmosphere.
The locals are very friendly
Couldn't recommend it highly enough.
