I have been to this restaurant a few times and keep meaning to write a review. All I can say is "I love it" everything I go I have great food and great service. It is definitely one of the best restaurant's in Jersey and well worth a visit.

5 of us dined here midweek. Only 2 choices on the specials board. Set menu sounded good so we all went with that in varying choices. Starters presented well but size (small) and taste was a let down. Main course again looked good but mine was gone in less than 5 minutes the portion was so small and lacked taste. Cannot even remember what was under my salmon. No atmosphere here although there were a few people dining. Little things that wouldnt normally bother us, rock hard butter definately from a freezer and little bread just added to the fact that this whole experiencce was a let down.

Excellent food and very reasonably priced. Good service and interesting menu, we go as often as we can afford. Only downside here is the lack of view, but don't let that put you off.

Just visited again. We eat here often and find the service and menu excellent. The portions are medium size - which suits us very well, especially as the desserts are so lovely that we want to be able to eat it. The set menu is good value and there is a rally good choice of wines by the bottle or y the glass to compliment your meal. Maybe if quantity rather than quality is your thing you might be better elsewhere - some people do seem to need an overflowing plate but if you want a good value three course well presented meal, this is the place!

We were big fans of the Bass and Lobster, particularly with their £14 for two courses. We went on Friday night and again, it was bustling. We ordered similar things ie the mushroom starter or fish cake and the burger as mains. To be honest, it was all fairly average. I still hear very good reports about it so maybe we were just there on one of those OK nights and maybe it depends on who is cooking your food. The chunky chips are just OK but one of our group couldn't eat hers.
The wine by the glass has gone up considerably and it cost £150 for the 4 of us for fairly average burger and chips and house wine.Sadly I wouldn't rush back as there are better options in the area e.g. Feast.
B&L needs to raise its game and be more consistent.

My family really like this place, but I don't. I get dragged there every few months and despite this my opinion of the place doesn't get better
The room is soul less and the tables too small. There is no view. The menu is a bit limited, and given the name you would expect lobster on the menu.... Not always. The last visit a couple of weeks ago was similar to my previous experience. I had Prawn and Calamari tempura starter which had been cooked in oil that wasn't hot enough so it was soggy and oily. For mains I had a rib eye steak which was fine, but the chips and onion rings were cooked in the same under heated oil, so soggy and indelible. Family wouldn't let me complain. Sticky toffee pudding just wasn't either sticky or toffee.
Service not inspiring. Not cheap, Sumas a bit more expensive, better value and a nice view.
Nice Chablis though

Went for lunch and asked for a table for 2. Although the restaurant was clearly not full, was asked curtly whether we had a reservation. Was then pointed to a table by the waiter who never smiled or made us feel welcome. Food was good but the unfriendly attitude of the waiter put us off going back.

Empty restaurant but staff stood chatting rather than attending to us. Food average...twice cooked chips soggy! Forgot card and was made to feel like a criminal by giving a cheque !
