My husband’s recommendation that suited us both perfectly.
Friendly owner and waiter, The most fantastic starter and main course that exceeded all expectations of the tenerfest season. To top it up I had the panacota made with coconut milk. This made my day as I dairy free.

This restaurant was recommended by a local and we would pass on that recommendation. We were not disappointed with our 'Tennerfest' lunch. Both the service and food were excellent. Much of the food is locally sourced or foraged. The 'chips' were the best I've ever tasted and I had to resist the temptation to order more. If you like ice-cream this is the place to go. We'll be back next time we are in Jersey.

We've ticked off a good number of restaurants during our Jersey visits over the years, particularly with our trips coinciding with Tennerfest season but The Bass and Lobster was one that to this point that we hadn't got around to. Well, after this meal it may well take the crown as the best one yet. This was a wonderful meal. The staff were wonderful, so friendly and personable and happy to offer recommendations. I really liked the menu too - it was more flexible than a lot of Tennerfest menus tend to be, with the option to mix and match all sorts of different dishes and specials from the various menus. It's also very apparent that this is a restaurant that likes to allow it's chefs to improvise and show off their creativity - right from the bread that was brought out pre meal with a couple of different homemade butters. The trio of pork main course was inspired - whoever created the pork, apple, beetroot and goats cheese sausage is a genius. And speaking of genius, the ice cream and sorbet board is an extraordinary thing - my combination of a scoop of lobster bisque and a scoop of Black Bomber cheddar stands amongst the best desserts I've ever eaten and my wife was equally full of praise for her rhubarb and custard pud. I absolutely adored this place and it is a definite return visit for next year. Amazing.

What another fantastic welcome, meal and overall experience on Saturday night.
The Bass and Lobster is absolute quality, but with a down to earth and super friendly atmosphere.
We took friends who had never been before, and they were raving about the whole evening.
The seasonal menu will knock your socks off, and the Sunday Roast menu looked to die for - we'll be booking for that one.
High recommended if you haven't (or have) been before. Consistency is key, and the Bass and Lobster are always first rate.

We dropped in here, having booked during the day and were met by a busy room of people. The food was "alright", but the service was slow and indicative of low staff levels; to be fair a little patronising too.

Food was excellent, service was friendly, possibly a little slow but perhaps better to call it relaxed. They are clearly familiar with the intricacies of serving children and ensuring they are waiting though! Really fresh lovely food often with a novel twist or just slightly differently done. Will certainly be back

We had sunday lunch for 6 including 3 kids. FIrst of all there was a great selection of roasts (beef, lamb, pork and duck) but then it wasn't the standard run of the mill - but some creativity and very good cooking!
A big plus was plenty of extra gravy and masses of extra potatoes. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely, if slightly eccentric place to eat. We arrived quite late for lunch on a very wet February day but were warmly welcomed. Drinks, once ordered, took rather a long time to arrive, particularly in view of the fact that the place was not busy. We were disappointed to find there was no lobster on the menu as we had specifically chosen to go there, assuming that the clue was in the name and that it would be their speciality. Nevertheless we enjoyed oysters, soup and foie gras as well as the special of the day - panko crumbed Pollock. Couldn't resist trying a couple of their weird ice-creams too but were somewhat underwhelmed.

Went on a Tuesday evening, had their £15 3 course meal - Wow! Really good food and Anna is a star! Hubby enjoyed it so much he went back two nights later. Home made ice creams and sorbets are to die for! Michelin star quality food.

We were being treated to a lunch out and what a treat! A lovely little restaurant with staff bending over backwards to give one a lovely experience. We started with a cocktail and followed with our meal which was excellent. A starter of fish which was presented beautifully and a main course of a very nice steak which was cooked to perfection. We could not fault this lovely restaurant and staff.
