Boutiquesque hotel, charming in parts, but the rooms are small, so there is noise from the corridor. The bathroom was modern and neat, but very compact and how a shower was fitted in way a surprise as it was the tightest shower I have ever been in measuring just 2ft by 2ft. It’s a good job I am slim!
Worst part was the incessant alarm from an unoccupied room at 6:15 on a Saturday morning which required a call to the front desk to sort out – 10 minutes later.

This hotel is ideally located close to the sea and shopping centre. Staff are very helpful and the rooms comfortable.
We only ate breakfast in the hotel but this was excellent. The bar areas are also nice with plenty of seating and I did notice people having afternoon tea and cakes which also looked excellent.

Fabulous.
Will come again. None of this should come as a surprise to anyone as this is the place to come. Marvellous staff, all top drawer. It's up market, and not cheap. But. Sensibly, there is a bottle of wine for those treating themselves to something they would not usually afford.
Top quality food, and plenty of it, unlike similar top quality hotels where the presentation is key, often in place of a proper dinning experience.
Incredible staff. Valet parking. It sits above the town with wonderful views. Peaceful, quiet, and charming.

This was the 4th time we had stayed here and I was expecting to give an automatic 5-star review. There are a lot of good things to be said about this hotel. The friendliness and attentiveness of staff, where nothing seems to be too much trouble. The surroundings and decor of the bedroom (ok, may have been a bit beige). A superb sauna/steam-room/jacuzzi combo. The attention to detail - recognition that we were there for a 30th wedding anniversary through cakes to our room and a heart-shape on the bed made of fresh flower petals (well, my wife thought it romantic). But the difference between a good hotel and a great hotel is made by marginal differences, and we both felt that there was something ever so slightly off compared to previous visits. We think that the restaurant service and standards weren't quite what they were, but as mentioned, it is marginal. Enough for 4.9 stars if that were possible. Would we stay here again? Most probably. Before this trip it would have been automatic and unequivocal.

We stayed for 5 nights over Liberation day and couldn't fault either the facilities, food or service. In particular all the staff were keen to help in any way they could. The Brasserie was delightfully situated so that the moning sun shone into the room during breakfast.

The hotel is very close to the centre of St Peter Port and its seafront which is only 10 mins away (although longer on the way back!)

The OGH is a superb 5* hotel situated close to the heart of St Peter Port and a few minutes walk from the ocean. The rooms are elegant and very comfortable. The public areas are stylish and upmarket. But the real highlight was the quality, style and professionalism of the staff who were very helpful and could not be faulted in any way. They truly make the experience at the OGH memorable. We would highlight Zoe at reception who took the time to explain the various tourist attractions, suggest restaurants and activities - she made sure we made the best use of our weekend stay.

Guernsey is a gem of an island. We have stayed in 8 or 9 lovely hotels
there. This year we chose the famous O.G.H.From arrival to departure the service from all staff was excellent and faultless. The public ground floor rooms are elegant and very comfortable. The disappointment was when we saw our room.Small to the point of chlostrophobia, nowhere even to store our suitcases..Next day we asked to upgrade but decided the cost too much.We were shown a room in the same catergory which we accepted. This room was more airy but had it’s own problems.Safe difficult to access, poor quality tiny shower cubicle, and shabby furnishings,But the bed was lovely. The receptionist who organised the move was also very helpful. But the rooms were not worthy of a 5 Star hotel and therefore spoiled our 5 night stay.J.P. We had the pleasure of spending 5 nights at this wonderful old establishment quite recently. A big thank you to Hilton & the team for the exceptional service and wonderful food. I would recommend the queen size room as the classic room is a little on the small side. The hotel is very well placed, being It is a short walk to the harbour area & the shopping area. We will be back!

A beautiful hotel, superb furniture, artwork and bedroom furnishings. Of course the pool and spa are an added bonus. The restaurant food/wine list/staff service are top notch. Our third visit and will return to to glorious Guernsey and the OGH next year, I hope...
What is also rather pleasant returning for the third time, is the continuity of staff, of course Andrew Chantrell (the Manager, he has been there for 10 years) , Harry Seepaul, Jaro Opletal. . Special mention for ‘Honky Tonks’ (do not know his name), he bas been the resident piano player and singer at the OGH for years in the evenings in the restaurant - a most convivial and colourful fellow, with a lot of musical talent. Diners tend not to applaud him, we got that going!!
All the best for the future OGH, I adore the place...
