This hotel certainly lives up to its 5 star category and is conveniently situated near the town. Excellent in every way from food/drink to all the hotel staff helping with your every need. Very attentive and helpful. Couldn't ask for more.

We enjoyed very minute of our stay. From the moment we walked in, Andiswa (Andi) the front of house manager made us feel so welcome. That feeling carried on for the whole of our visit - the staff were terrific and everything ran calmly and smoothly. We will definitely be coming back.

We were on a walking tour with cream tea so no idea hat to expect but just wow!! Fabulous
The hotel is beautifully decorated. We didn't get to stay but it's definitely one for the bucket list now
The pool looks lovely. We sat outside on the terrace.

3 day stay the hotel was very comfortable and we had a huge room ( superior king) it had a sea view if you stood at an angle ( main view was the terrace of the rooms below). Bathroom was excellent and décor was very fresh. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is located up very steep hill from the port but it helped us walk off the calories we had consumed. The only issue was the Q for breakfast, not enough staff - tables not cleared quickly so the wait for a table was 20 mins on one morning. We also ate here in the evening and had to wait 45 mins for a table although we had booked ( kitchen was backed up, was the reason given) a further 30 mins to get our starter. The staff very apologetic to everyone and removed some drinks from the bill to compensate . We loved the hotel so we didn't let this spoil our stay. We didn't use the pool so can't comment. We had breakfast on the Terrance on two mornings which was really great.

By booking sometime ahead, we were able to get a good deal on a king room with a balcony and sea view. The room was large and very comfortable. A problem with the shower was corrected quickly. All the staff were friendly, professional and helpful and made our stay particularly enjoyable. The breakfasts and dinners were very good and again the staff excellent.
We are not sure when we will return to Guernsey, but would happily stay at the Duke of Richmond again.

Lovely hotel the staff can't do any more to make your stay an enjoyable experience and to be dog friendly is an understatement your pets will be pampered from arrival till home time
Orlando is always about somewhere to make sure you have everything you need and Paul and Jorge behind the bar make sure your glass is filled up a very present experience

What a lovely place. Aaron, Klavs, Jorge and Natalie amazing staff they are a credit to the hotel. Aaron on arrival very welcoming. Klavs makes wonderful cocktails. Jorge a wonderful bar manager. Natalie is very professional in the restaurant. The hotel is very classy, food is lush, atmosphere is so relaxing. Would truly recommend this place if you want to switch off and have a chill.

Stayed for 2 nights on a short break. Room was small but just fine for a short break. The hotel staff just can't do enough for you. Breakfast is excellent and cooked to order, bar prices are reasonable for a hotel. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was top quality with great service, expensive but worth the price.
