My husband and I spent three very comfortable nights at this wonderful hotel located right in the heart of St Peter Port.

The service was outstanding – every staff member took a genuine interest in our well being, and some went way above and beyond the call of duty.

On the first night the chef Robert overhead me talking about (of all things) porridge and we ended up having a chat. I told him I like steel cut oats (pinhead oats). To my delight and amazement, he had some specially brought in from the mainland which was no mean feat with the storms playing havoc on supply lines. Such a wonderful service ethos - thank you Robert!

Breakfast was varied, plentiful and beautifully fresh – amazing that they could get such a good selection of fresh fruit there at this time of year. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant one night which was excellent.

We loved exploring the different parts of the hotel – the Crown Club and the lovely room with all the couches and fireplaces. Our room was warm, clean and comfortable - we really couldn’t fault this excellent hotel. Thanks to all the staff (particularly Robert) for making our first trip to beautiful Guernsey so memorable.

Stayed just one night with my wife as a break from the kids. It was perfect the room clean comfortable and quiet. The decor was tasteful and well thought out.

The food excellent we had dinner and breakfast both were top notch.

The thing that stood out most were the staff. At all levels they were courteous and attentive exceptionally professional and you felt they genuinely were interested in your wellbeing, nothing was too much trouble.

It does come at a price but would recommend this hotel and it would be our first choice for a stay in Guernsey.

We had an enjoyable 4 night stay at this hotel in Guernsey just a few days ago. The hotel, about 12 minutes from the airport, is situated in a quiet area high above St Peter Port (about seven minutes to the sea front by car). It has a spacious restaurant and a large terrace that overlooks the pool and has a view of the sea.
All members of staff were welcoming, pleasant and helpful.
Breakfast was substantial; offering a selection of cold meats, cheese, fruit and pastries and a range of different cooked dishes and served by a very efficient and attentive staff. We had dinner there three nights out of the four and were not disappointed with the quality of the meals. The excellence of the food was complimented by the expertise of the staff. Olga, the maitre d’ ensures the ship runs smoothly. But what also impresses is the ethic of the waiting staff in the restaurant and bar to help one another and ensure that the customer is served quickly and that any request is fulfilled. It was also reassuring that the partition between the kitchen and restaurant was glass-fronted. We were unable on this trip to take advantage of the pool but from the terrace bar it looked most inviting.
We were on the first floor where the lift was not a feasible option for the carriage of suitcases which may be a problem for others less mobile. However it did give quick access to the terrace and reception. Our room was a good size as was the bathroom although the three steps up to the wardrobe and bathroom was a bit annoying. I suspect that other rooms may not have this feature. The bed was massive and very comfortable.
Parking on the island is free but you need to set a clock for allocated 2 hour or 10 hour bays (parking is free between 6pm and 8am). Each night we parked our hire car in the same road as the hotel (the few parking spaces belonging to the hotel were continually occupied), but as long as we left by 10.00am the following morning this was never a problem.
One little niggle is that a few times the reception desk was unmanned (we appreciate that they had other tasks to perform in the office behind) which is inconvenient when returning a key or needing some information.
We would unreservedly recommend this hotel to others.

My mum and I stayed in a standard twin room for two nights whilst visiting family who live on the island.

Location:
The hotel is less than a 10 minute walk from St Peter Port where you’re spoilt for choice in terms of restaurants, shops and the key attractions. It’s worth bearing in mind that the walk back involves a steep hill climb. Not a problem for us but I can certainly anticipate it being too much for some - nothing you can’t get around with a short taxi journey though.

Rooms:
Our room was perfect for the duration of our stay. It was quiet, wonderfully clean with very comfortable beds and a good shower. There was everything you’d need in terms of added extras too (coffee, tea making, toiletries, slippers and robes) plus lots of plug sockets which I appreciated for my various technology!

Staff & Facilities:
The entire hotel is beautifully appointed and we wished we had more time to enjoy it! The pool area looked stunning and we had a wonderfully relaxing breakfast on the terrace in the sun one morning.

We only ate breakfast during our stay and what a treat it was! It had a vast choice of cold items with plenty of hot options that are cooked to order. Every member of staff we encountered was courteous and friendly - they were so attentive and everyone was clearly there to make sure our stay was faultless...which it was!

I couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough for anyone seeking a relaxing and luxury retreat. We hope to return in the near future!

This hotel is located near the top end of Candie Gardens. It is a quarter of an hour walk through the Gardens and down the hill to reach the Town Centre. However, be warned that it is a real uphill climb back to the Hotel from the Town Centre. We used a local taxi to take the strain of the climb at a cost of about £6.00

When we checked in everything went smoothly. The check in process was well organised and friendly. The hotel took a swipe of my credit card to meet the cost of my meals and drinks. This was very convienient.

We were initially allocated Room 108. This is a Classic Double crammed full of furniture.I have never ever before had to rearrange a hotel bedroom before I could find space to open my suitcase.

To visit the bathroom in the middle of the night it is necessary to negotiate two of three steps. From the bedroom to the bathroom. I thought was a tad risky while half asleep.
The chest of draws looked attractive but was totally impractical. It could not be used for clothing. The draws were too small. The draws would have been perfect in a Sitting Room but useless in a hotel Bedroom.

No where to store suitcases. One window with limited natural light.
If you opened the window to let fresh air in all you got was a fishy smell from the kitchen extractor fan which vented underneath the bedroom window. The smell was not very pleasant.

We asked and were moved to room 111 which was much better. There were two windows for natural light. We were away from the kitchen extractor fan and the bedroom and the bathroom were both on the same level. Room 111 was also crammed with bits and pieces with very little free space. The Wardrobe and shelves were much better than room108

Breakfast was beautiful. Good choice Good servings and efficient serving staff. The Head Waitress, Olga was welcoming and extremely efficient in the way she managed and organized the Dining Room.

The tables in the conservatory area are far too small for two people to sit and dine comfortably. It was necessary to reorganise table space each time the waitress appeared with another course. These tables would be better suited for single diners.
After the first day, we realised that the tables in the Dining Room were much larger than those in the Conservatory. We now had uncluttered space to enjoy our meals for the rest of our stay.

The restaurant has a good selection of meals both at lunchtime and in the evening with something to temp the most discerning of diners. Food presentation was superb. Portions were adequate. Prices were a little on the high side but this is after all a high class establishment.

Despite my comments I really did enjoy my stay here. I would stay here again and am happy to recommend the hotel to others.

Lovely hotel. A bit uphill from the centre but worth the climb. Swift and efficient check in with porter assistance with luggage. Good sized room with view over the park. Just a little more thought could be given to the tea making facilities as beverage tray and kettle housed in the wardrobe so not very convenient to lift out onto the narrow dressing table to use. Bathroom well designed with shower over bath and good quality toiletries.
Restaurant and bar offer customer friendly service and Olga and William stand out from the other staff in their efficient yet unobtrusuve manner. Varied menu with daily specials board.
Personal touches add to the ambience of this delightful hotel so yes we will return.

My partner and I stayed here twice in August, once with our family and so impressed returning a few weeks later whilst working Guernsey.

The location of the hotel is a 5-10 minute walk into St Peter Port depends on what pace you take. The hotel is clean, modern and welcoming.

Our room was spacious and well equipped for our stay. In my opinion the hospitality in Guernsey is second to none and staff cannot do enough for you. The breakfast is splendid and variety offered very pleasing, the outside area looks out over St Peter Port and is a real sun trap in the summer months.

The pool is warm and again the area surrounding the pool a sun trap, perfect for a cooling swim then chilling out on a day bed. They offer complimentary iced juice / water all day by the pool which is a thoughtful touch to add.

We dined one evening there and the food and service was of exceptional standards.

The only draw back is the lack of parking but this is standard in St Peter Port as parking is very limited everywhere, you do find a space on a side street after a while just don’t forget your clock in the window. There is a small car park opposite the hotel reception but it has a dozen spaces maximum.

I have stayed in most of the hotels in Guernsey, both with family, my children and whilst working, this is my absolute favourite and I cannot recommenced highly enough.

I shall be returning very soon.

We stay at this hotel every year, it's our home away from home. Always first class service and this year was no exception, from the minute you step through the door the staff ensure you have the warmest of welcomes and go out of their way to ensure your total comfort, the stresses and strains of life completely evaporate on entering this oasis of peace.
Elegant surroundings and excellent food, it was particularly nice to see the manager and assistant manager working alongside their staff on New Years Eve to serve the meal, they lead by example and the staff have a clear sense of purpose and appear to genuinely enjoy their work.

Stayed 3 nights in this wonderful 5* hotel where staff are so friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble.
Andi Raziya welcomed us when we arrived and gave us a tour and set the tone. Andrew, the General Manager runs an efficient, welcoming hotel and the four of us enjoyed a fun entry into 2018 with a delicious, outstanding menu. The chef is to be congratulated. The kitchen then produced an amazing brunch the next day as well and Gareth Burns led an amazing team.
The four days were relaxed. It did not matter that the weather was grey, windy and very wet because the hotel was so warm and hospitable - in the brasserie where we enjoyed our breakfasts and an excellent evening meal where particular mention should be made of the service provided by Ken and Remi, in the gin bar where Victor served us with good advice on an amazing choice of gins, in the spa, at the delightful afternoon tea with roaring fire, where Caroline was charming and helpful.
The hotel had a minor problem with our room; the hotel staff actively ensured our stay was not impaired, we were moved to a better room at their instigation. We also left some belongings behind by accident and hotel speedily contacted us to organise their safe return to us.
