As a Training Provider delivering various Accredited First Aid courses, I often find organisations and businesses are confused about what kind of First Aid training they should provide, or even whether to provide First Aid training at all.
South Devon University Technical College has demonstrated that its impressive post 16 results, celebrated last week – are no flash in the pan. Students in Year 11 have also come through with a GCSE performance that confirms this pioneering technical college as a force to be reckoned with in Devon education.
Exceptional students from Petroc’s Mid Devon campus were celebrated at the college’s annual awards ceremony on January 4, 2018.
Petroc A-level students are celebrating record-breaking results today (Thursday, August 17), with over a quarter (26%) of all learners receiving A* to A grades.
Meet Matthew, he lives in Bude with his family and looks like your typical 10year old. However, Matthew is a very special lad. When he was five and a half months old he got meningococcal septicemia. He was incredibly poorly and nearly died but luckily Matthew is a true fighter and bravely fought for his life and won! His recovery was a slow and steady one that is such a blessing however as he got older it was clear that the disease had left him with an acquired brain injury causing him to have learning difficulties, speech and language problems, behavioral problems and sensory processing disorder. He has no danger awareness and is constantly seeking sensory stimulation. Matthew is in need of a sensory room in his home to help with his day to day recovery and this is where you can help.
