Over 40 colleagues met at this wonderful place for a splendid Christmas supper. There was another large group in plus the rest of the pub was packed. Staff were fantastic. The food was delicious. Fresh, hot, varied, served promptly, and quite rightly received many compliments. We’re all going again in the summer and want to return next Christmas. Friendly atmosphere and country decor. Open fires, local produce, beautiful Suffolk village and simply wonderful experience and professional staff.

Took my parents for birthday lunch with our two dogs, great food, very good friendly service from all the staff. Had very good and happy experience, especially as there were at least 6 dogs in the pub - almost every table had a dog with them, although there was an area of tables which I suspect were for eating without dogs in attendance.

What a great experience of a much visited pub by my mother & I for Sunday lunch, unannounced & without a booking & yet made to feel so welcome from the second we walked into a warm, crowded, busy pub. We've eaten here before but never with it being this busy. There was a real buzz about the place. We waited for a few minutes & were looked after by a very efficient & pleasant manager who despite it being so busy, found us space to eat. & boy we were not disappointed! A good glass of Rioja followed by one of the best roast pork dinners I have had in many a year! Belly & loin, cooked to perfection, crackling to die for, perfect gravy, extra in a jug, Yorkshire pudding that would make the county proud & fresh, carrots, vibrant green cabbage & cauliflower cheese were all perfect accompaniments to a fantastic meal. We normally have desserts but this one beat us both! I have to say that there are so many pubs around that fail on so many levels to do a basic roast dinner & its testament to the team & chefs at The Crown that the food has always lived up to & excelled our expectations. Pie & beer night is a must have as well as the rest of the menu! The specials have also never let me down. Efficient & friendly service & space for the dog & we left full, & ready for a walk home. Thanks to the team at The Crown! We will be back soon!!

Five of us recently ate dinner at The Crown for my Birthday. Two of the group are Vegan and we arrived fully expecting to be lucky to have even one option available to us. We were delighted to be offered several options that were not on the menu, simply the Chef (Jason) thinking outside the box. We enjoyed a first-class meal and our non-Vegan friends commented they would like to try our dish next time! Amazing service, amazing food. Would highly recommend.

We moved to Suffolk recently and was looking for a nice local pub when only by accident I drove past it and thought to look it up online. Food looked great and the pub seemed warm and inviting.
So yesterday we decided to pay a visit and have a dinner. And I’m glad we did! What a lovely pub! Food was superb! From start to finish. Only negative was that service was a bit slow but it definitely didn’t spoil the experience. We will be back for Sunday roast next week. Can’t wait! What a gem only three miles away from home. Perfect!

14 of us met up at the Crown to celebrate my daughters birthday. I have to say the whole experience was excellent, the manageress/hostess was superb in making sure we were very well looked after. The food was first rate, from the kids meals through to the beautifully cooked Sirloin of Beef. Plentiful vegetables, fresh water ...and decent wine.
A really excellent venue for a proper Sunday lunch.

Wanted to comment on the service aswell as food. I have just purchased a restaurant and love to see staff working as hard as Charlotte did with us this evening. Food was great and the bread is unreal! Should sell it wholesale....

Been meaning to go to this pub for a while but never got to it. Well it was worth the wait. We found it a very good setting in a village and set back with beautiful garden. Walked in and straight away felt at ease. The staff behind the bar were very friendly and helpful. Showed us to our table and we sat looking at menu and the staff was excellent very helpful and friendly. When the meal came it was great well worth it. Didn’t feel rushed in any way just felt at home. Definitely recommend this pub to anyone for just a day out in the sun outside or a drink inside and well a plus for the meal.
Thank you for a friendly experience will be back soon.

Visited here with our 2 children and their grandparents. This is a place we visit on a regular basis and usually love their food! We all had the Sunday Roast, there was plenty of food, the most delicious beef and in such a lovely setting. Only downside was the children’s ice-cream; one tiny scoop served in an espresso cup (so you can imagine how small it was!). Children always look forward to the desserts but their little faces were so disappointed. Even if it had a wafer in it to make it feel a bit more special would have helped! For a family friendly pub I think this was a poor oversight.
