What a wonderful place this is! It's small, but for a grotto it's a good size. It takes about 15 minutes to walk round, but make sure you sit down whilst inside and appreciate the history and work gone into this gem. A wonderful place!

Scott’s Grotto is a hidden little Gem in the twin of Ware. The story behind its construction is fascinating..,. This place used to be unlit when I was a child visiting , however now there is lighting in the reception area and you still need a torch when venturing in to the tunnels. The place kept my 6 year old son entertained for hours... although it large in size you can spend between an hour and two in here and in the grounds.

I highly recommend you visit this very historic grotto.
It was built in the mid-eighteenth century at the then Amwell Manor which belonged to the Scott family.
It is the largest shell grotto in the UK.
Now in Scotts Road, houses we're built on the former Manor grounds in the 1960's.
The grotto is a Grade 1 listed building and was refurbished in 1991 and opened by Lord Montague.
It is now held by a Trust.
Well worth a visit, check opening times on it's website. Enjoy.

Alan was very informative, the grotto is truly something never seen and to think that it was built in the 1700s is remarkable. The shells do ad a certain sea side feeling to the grotto. It is truely magical.

Smaller but amazing zoo, you get so much closer to the animals here compared to bigger zoos. Whilst there aren't as many different animals as bigger zoos, the experiences you can book, along with seeing the animals closer makes it well worth it.
I could barely make out the red fluff of the Red Pandas at other zoos, as they hid way away up the tree in their enclosure, here they were so close you can see them properly and actually experience seeing these adorable little things.

We bought my mum a big cat feeding experience for her 50th! We had an amazing time, it was insane being that close to the beautiful lionesses! The staff were so friendly and accommodating, they talked us through everything that was going to happen and they gave us lots of information about lions and the training they do with them! The safety information was very clear, and the keeper's kept a close eye on us to ensure we were safe during the whole experience. It's an absolute must do if you haven't done an experience before - We will 100% be booking back in to have an encounter with some of their other big cats!

Thank You Paradise For A Wonderful Day! And For Taking Great Care Of Us While We Were With You!
