Great day out, although rather costly at over £80 for 3 people - one of which was a child. A bit of a piss take asking for payment for the mini train on top of that.. Plenty of shade in this hot sunny weather. A lot of the animals were not visible - I guess due to the hot weather.Visited on

We bought our 8-year-old son a junior zookeeper experience for his birthday and he thoroughly enjoyed it. We went behind the scenes to meet animals such the giant tortoise and the penguins. Our guide (Simon) was fantastic - extremely knowledgeable and brilliant with our boy (funny, engaging, personable - he really made our day!).
The zoo as a whole is great. Extremely clean and modern, with loads of facilities for families. The food was of a good quality, big portions, and reasonably priced.
I would 100% recommend!
