This little zoo is improving all the time, and although it is obviously aiming at being popular with the very young, it has more than enough to appeal for all ages. We went there for a 'feed a big cat experience'. This was excellent, and the keeper who showed us around and went through the feeding routine with us, (Hannah), was very knowledgeable and friendly and made the experience an absolute joy. There are several places in the zoo to eat and drink, a free car park, souvenir shops and of course, plenty of animals to look at. All of these are in lovely condition and a joy to see. There are also lots of things for young children to enjoy, as well as a discovery and education centre, and a new dinosaur exhibit was being built when we went. I think the zoo is good value, and the work it contributes to worldwide has to be applauded. For that reason alone I would recommend you visit it, but I also think you will enjoy a good few hours out.

Quite a large site for very small children - makes a good day out. For over 8's more of a half day if it's in striking distance for you.

It's ok, bit pricey for what is there. I prefer Whipsnade or Colchester and it's similar pricing with much more to see

Great collection of animals in a relatively small site. Good viewing conditions including elevated walkways, and a cafe overlooking the Amur tigers. Lots of parking. Plenty of cover in case of showers.

This is probably the best zoo I've ever been to. I've been to ZSL in the past and felt let down by the range of animals, their general lack of activity and the crowded feeling of the zoo. None of this is a problem at paradise wildlife park. We went during the winter period and managed to see all of the animals at the most active we've ever seen animals in a zoo. The amount of people at the park was at a level to which it didn't make the park seem abandoned but allowed you to enjoy it fully without large crowds. We took part in the 'meet a red panda' experience there and were completely amoured with meeting the gorgeous red panda Tilly. The zoo keepers were all very knowledgeable and many talks happened throughout the day. The actual feeding experience itself was guided by a very experienced young zookeeper and we were told that if we weren't able to get Tilly to come down from the tree she was sleeping in we could come back at two other points in the day or choose a different experience. I would highly recommend paradise wildlife park as one of the best places to see a range of species in the UK.
