First the eating here since the new owners took over. The food is excellent, both well cooked and well presented, and the pub itself doesn't try and be something it isn't which was the problem in the past. Your hosts are warm and attentive but not too pushy. Very happy to see so many people from outside the village in there on a Friday night and proud to call The George my village pub.

A great family-run country pub where the emphasis is on good old-fashioned service. Fabulous selection of real ales from local brewers (very sustainable), plus good food. Lovely setting in beautiful village.
