If you are visiting Foxton Locks (or not) it is really worth walking a little way up the canal to the beautiful village of Foxton, where you will discover this gem of a pub with the added benefit of an attached tea room/bakery.
A large well-tended garden with a covered terrace. Great views over Leicestershire. Covid precautions evident.
I have visited twice in the last month, for lunch. It's a fairly limited menu but well cooked and presented. Generous portions for a good price. My only suggestion would be a couple of salad options available.
The pub and tea-room are run by the same extended family and you are welcome to be served from the tea-room, sitting in the pub garden! Everyone is friendly and the service is good.

Don't usually write reviews about anything as i feel it's abit naff if we have a problem with anything we sort it out at the time.We only called in this pub for a pt but with the amazing food coming out of the kitchen we decided to eat even though they were very busy the ribs and pie were amazing all home made no pinged food,the young staff were brilliant even though they had some staff members off ill.Definately will be returnig and hope your staff get better soon keep up the briiliant work in these horrible covid times.
